The Sanctuary of San Francis of Paola is located in the upper part of the town, in a valley bordered by the Isca stream and rich in vegetation. It is a pilgrimage destination from all over southern Italy, especially from Calabria, of which St Francis is the patron saint. It houses part of the saint's remains (the rest are in Tours, France).

The students had a guided tour and they could discover the Devil's Bridge, and a path at the end of which is a place that was the saint's refuge in his youth. They visited the ancient romanesque basilica, dating from the 16th century. And the students had special visit to the Library which is aged from the middle age. Normally it is forbidden to access to this library, but especially for the students, a monk opened the door.

Students discovered local cultural patrimony
