IT22 Visit to villa Rendano

It was built by the famous pianist Alfonso Rendano, its first owner, it appears majestic and imposing in the eyes of the beholder, thanks to its prestigious position, located on the Triglio hill, behind the most important sixteenth-century buildings of the city of Cosenza and surrounded by a well-kept garden. Raised on three floors above ground, Villa Rendano is an elegant residence, whose frescoes tell of the Renaissance period, the rooms, the passage of noble landowners who, over time, have changed its structure and function. In a succession of separate areas, painted ceilings alternate with floors that, as in the best history book, testify to the passage of the centuries through techniques, mostly of Pompeian inspiration. In short, a succession of rooms and frescoes that feed, in each visitor, the sense of a walk between a time that was and one that still must be.
