First, the teachers of the Portuguese team present the work to be done. This Erasmus project aims to project students towards an European dimension, where it is fully recognized that cultural heritage plays a central role in all societies, creating a sense of active participation within and beyond national borders. Then, they divide the students into 4 groups of 8 students of different nationalities. Each working group will have to make a multimedia map of the “Cultural heritage detective” which using the conceptual maps methodology, will have to focus on cultural heritage:

architectural, urban, landscape, nature and intangible culture. Each group will be assigne a theme to be framed in each of the historical periods (Roman Period, Medieval period, Modern Period and Contemporary Period). Secondly, students use the cooperative learning methodology and they use digital media. The four nationalities in the group pool their research to create the multimedia map with photos, videos and brief dissertation on what was observed during the task and the cultural visits. Thirdly, students present their work. The students present the final result of their work orally during 5 minutes. These mini presentations allow them to show their new knowledge and to discover the common points between the different partner countries.

The pupils built their multimedia map, cooperated and managed to share cultural and historical knowledge.
