SW22 Farewell party ans Xmas Gift Game

The farewell dinner took place in the school. It was the time to strengthen the friendships and collaboration and team building. We could taste typical food with the sandwich cake, and share good moments. Principal of the school thanked all participants and the coordinator Dominika of the mobility expressed her positive opinion about the whole week. We had a traditional Xmas game which some presents were shared. The Christmas Gift Game is really simple. It is a dice game (but we used a bottle to show who is the gamer) that has become quite popular here in Sweden in the past few years. There are several versions of this game. Game Preparations were in Retuna. We had to buy a low cost gift. While planning we set a value for each gift (20 SEK/2 EUR). Then each participant buys a gift according to that value. Everyone then makes sure that the gifts are properly wrapped. It was time to play and we all sit on the floor in circle.

The first round was to spit the gifts between the participants. The person turns the bottle in the middle of the circle and show who will get to take a gift of their choice from the others. The round continues during 10 minutes. Then, we opened the presents. In the second round, the game really starts. A timer is set for a specific time, we decided to go for 15 minutes. During this time the bottle continue to turn and the player gets to pick a gift of his/her choice from someone else. The only catch is that you are not allowed to take the last gift from someone. In other words, each participant should have at least one gift. The game continues until the timer ends. Once the game is over, everyone can appreciate their winnings and enjoy, or not, what they have been fighting so hard for the last minutes. It is really possible to make any adjustments that the group feels are needed.

Pupils had a good time with their mates and they thanked their host partner too before the dance party. Some decided to watch football match on TV, some played Ping Pong and billiard in the special relax place of the Rimna scholl. We took a common picture. Each student had a certificate of mobility that they can use on Europass. It was a great opportunity to be all together, against stereotypes, against hatred, we promote friendship, citizenship and equality.

This moment was really delightful, every student worked hard during the week especially with many communication, and every present person learned a lot about different systems, impact of humans on the environment, sustainable development and each one could pick up some good ideas to increase our sustainability. The party was great and everybody enjoyed it!

The Xmas Gift game was funny. Most of the participants have enjoyed this way!
