SW22 Welcome to school (visit, French lesson)
10 déc. 2022The first step, after a Swedish Fika (which is a traditional break with coffee and cakes very popular, they even have a funny song about it), was for each team to introduce itself. Then, the Swedish team gave us a card to access to the school and the school restaurant, and some maps of Eskilstuna and Stockholm and furthermore brochures. The Swedish students and teachers gave us a visit of their school, in which we discovered the different programme they have such as Health and Care programme or a Restauration.
French students went to class and present different information about Dunkirk: History of our city, activities and possible hobbies (BIB, laser game, the beach, bowling, museums, FRAC, LAAC, Dynamo Museum, theater…), presentation of the port and its history, the tradition of carnaval, the history of the lycee from the 18è century, one normal day for a teenager at the lycee Jean Bart and conclude with Erasmus+ class.
After this session of Dunkirk, the French were divided in groups to prepare the oral exam of swedishs. They have to communicate with them about different topics: hobbies, confidence, school and after, sport practices, future, reading, growing up, philosophy of life, qualities and defaults.
The students were volunteered to present in English. They were able to measure the importance of the Erasmus+ project by being received by the principal and seeing that this project involved a group of people ready to help them and feel comfortable for the week. This exercise of icebreaking was really pleasant for all students to begin the week and know better each other. They communicate a lot.
The presentation of Dunkirk and the lycee Jean Bart was really greatfull in front of swedish students who learn French. They ask some good questions and were curious about our education system.
Our pupils got really involved in this activity and they exchange with their new fellow classmates
