Students have been divided into 4 groups which rotated  on the four activities proposed:

Activity one: long Jump. Students took part in the long jump group  competition. To be aware of their ownperformance they were asked to measure the lenght of their jump and try to do one’s best to improve previousresults. 

Activity two  baketball: students had to perform the different actions of the team game before doing a friendlymatch

Activity three: students had to succed in doing a series of sports actions along a circuit with obstacles

Activity four: students ha to answer a questionnaire about the athlete Kathrine Switzer after whom the stadium where they did activities was named

 

Students were able to work in teams respecting the rules of fair play and promoting friendship and citizenshipvalues, they could develop self confidence and improve self sports skills. Doing the questionnaire they learntthe life story of Katerine Switzer who  became a crusader for women’s sports because she became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon with an official race number and led the effort to include the women’smarathon in the Olympic event.
