12 nov. 2023The visit to BELEXPO was an interactive journey towards becoming a climate hero. Equipped with digital wristbands the students completed tasks aimed at improving urban life and reducing carbon emissions.
Their journey was structured around 10 themed districts, each offering unique learning experiences:
Planet Alert!: The causes of global warming and set challenges for the students to conquer along their journey.
Living in the City: Combating urban challenges like noise, air pollution, and waste management.
Getting Around: Modern mobility solutions like bicycles, pedaling through scenarios depicting the city of tomorrow.
In Search of Nature: The significance of urban green spaces and their role in city ecosystems.
Housing: Sustainable living practices and how to make homes more eco-friendly.
FoodThe impact of food choices on the environment, including an interactive experience with digital vegetable production.
Jobs: New professions that contribute to environmental transition, and how students can pursue careers in this field.
Consumption: The climate impact of everyday habits and exploring sustainable alternatives.
Team Work: School or neighborhood projects focused on environmental improvement.
Dream about the New City: The future, where students were encouraged to envision and mobilize for a better urban life.
The activity was enlightening and enjoyable.
