FR24 CC Workshop Halle aux sucres

Students visited "La Halle aux sucres", a centre of resources and expertise on sustainable development. As a warming-up activity, students, divided in group of different nationalities,  were asked to answer an “Environmental Quiz”, in order to check their pre-knowledge on various aspect of environmental challenges. . They were  divided into  groups and supervised by a cultural mediator who helped them to create the "climate fresco", a reference tool that enables people to take up the challenge of the climateemergency, based on data from the scientific reports of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), whoserecommendations guide political and economic decisions on a global scale.  Afterward, each group had to plan a sustainableenvironment, utilising natural or anthropomorphic elements  provided by the mediators. Finally each group illustrated  their workto the audience, to be voted as the best.

During the warm-up phase, students reflected upon different aspect linked to the environment, the climate change ad the issuesconnected with it. Working in multicultural teams, students showcased strong collaboration skills, combining their diverseperspectives to plan a sustainable environment. Their final presentations demonstrated creativity, with most groups effectivelycommunicating their ideas. The experience also enhanced their public speaking abilities, as students confidently presented theirprojects to the audience. Overall, the activity fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and practical application of sustainabilityconcepts.
