FR24 MC Presentation of schools

On this first day of mobility we met at the school Lycée Jean Bart where the welcome ceremony was held. The partners presented their cities and their schools emphasising the ecological attitude in their country. The French coordinator hold a welcome speech to everybody before we could start working and provides a dossier with information about the week programme, the list of participants, main facts about France, the region and Dunkirk. They sat with their correspondents and started directly to get to know the students from the other countries.

The students of the hosting school showed the variety of projects taken by Lycée Jean Bart such as: one month mobility in Spain, exchange with Roumania, ErasmusDays, Heritage Days, Climat Libé Tour. The students of the french school welcomed theirforeign classmates from Veria in Greece, Torre del Greco and Syracuse from Italy with two songs.

Each team presents their hometowns, the main features of the area and their high school and their daily life there. The presentations took place in the Lams Room. The students used power point, clips, pictures while presenting their country and what is special for them. It is really a discovering for all to see some different schools in our Erasmus+.
That moment was conlude with a Kahoot about the agenda.

The students discovered the partner schools and towns. They were able to express themselves in English in front of an audience and gain in confidence. They all experienced a nice welcome by the French students and teachers and saw for the first time what a French sweet breakfast consists of croissants, juices etc. The students got to know each other a bit more and learnt about each country’s culture, traditions, history and specialties. In that way they knew a bit more about each other which led to further discussions in between the nationalities. They also practiced listening and understanding English when presenting.
