First, students choose an era and an artistic style. They must then research it and synthesize it to produce a presentation. They must present the characteristics of the historical period, the artistic style of the era. Sometimes, students can also present the biography of an artist and show his or her importance in his or her era. The students also worked on art in geography, such as land art or street art, which are current forms of expression that carry a message. Finally, students present the fruit of their research orally, in front of the other students in the class. The presentation is done in the form of a slide show, with or without notes.

Students learn more about history of art and they learn to speak in front of an audience
