Game 1: Find someone who

Students go around the room asking questions to fill in your worksheet. After few minutes they stand up and communicate with all partners individually to find a person in the group who matches the description. Each box must be filled in with a different name. The list of description was for example: loves swimming, travel by bus to school, plays an instrument, can go to skateboard, likes sushi, was born in June, loves chocolates… Time limit was about 10 minutes and all of them discuss with each italian student to catch informations.

Game 2. Reverse Musical chairs

Students have to walk around the chairs when the music is on. When it stops, quickly find a seat. Everyonemust have a seat. They can sit on each other's laps or squeeze next to someone else on the same seat.

They continue for the next few rounds and they have to remember.... "everyone must a seat"

Game 3. Expectation tree

Students had a brief group discussion about your expectations related to the project week

• They wrote on your sheet of paper, your hopes and/or fears to overcome

• They had stand up and stick your paper on the tree of exceptations.

Some examples of their proposals: create good memories, make great friends, discover the city, have a betterlinguistic skills, learn about the different cultures, taste the most typical food as i can.

These exercises of icebreaking were really pleasant for all students to begin the week and know better each other. They communicate a lot and it was the first step to introduce themselves and spend time for collaboration that they will have to prepare articles, presentations, posters about sustainable development about the sea life and our different culture Italian and French.
