To come back to Castelldefels the students first take the funicular to go down the Montjuïc mountain, then the underground until Sants Estació and finally the train to Castelldefels. The objective is that they see how important it is for a big city to have well-structured public transport so that all spots are accessible to the citizens. Public transport and improvement in roads (Rondas) were one of the main challenges for the 1992 Olympic Games.

 

 

Thanks to this activity, the students could enjoy the wealth of the public transport in Barcelona, and for some of them, it was their first time in a Funicular.
