The visit to "La Halle aux Sucres" was organized to expose students to sustainable development with a focus on clothing habits. Artists from the architectural collective "Les Saprophytes" initiated the session with a discussion about clothing habits, emphasizing the impact of fashion on the environment and the importance of sustainable practices. This was followed by practical workshops where students actively participated in learning various techniques such as knitting, sewing, and embroidery. These workshops were aimed at imparting skills in making and repairing clothes, thereby promoting sustainable fashion practices. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to engage in a hands-on learning experience about sustainability in the textile industry.

The students, immersed in a cooperative environment, not only had an enjoyable experience but also successfully created various small textile works. The hands-on approach effectively fostered their awareness of the environmental impacts of clothing purchases and care. They gained knowledge about clothing manufacture, including the significance of environmental labels, and developed an appreciation for the second-hand market and its benefits for sustainability. They acquired practical skills in repairing and creating clothing, themselves describing it as empowering them to make more environmentally conscious choices in their clothing habits.
