The students worked on biodiversity in their immediate environment, the high school park and the Dune Dewulf dune massif.

The two outings allowed them to become aware of this biodiversity. Thanks to the use of the application they were able to increase their knowledge of the rich diversity of the plant kingdom.

They were able to present a sample using a herbarium and a photographic exhibition.

During the outing in the dune, they acquired knowledge about the diversity of ecosystems and the biodiversity within ecosystems.

They learned that the functioning of ecosystems is based on the relationships between the different species that live there, including humans.

Man is a stakeholder in his ecosystem and depends on almost all other species.

They were able to understand that maintaining biodiversity is a necessity for the survival of the human species on Earth. Hence the need for awareness and the implementation of different means to preserve it.

As a result, students learned more about the importance of biodiversity, the reasons for preserving it and the actions taken and to be put in place. They had some information about different types of participatory science. They know how to create a herbariumand how to build a photographic exhibition.
