GR24 PSLL Contact with Greek nature: Visit to Loutraki

During our visit to Loutraki, students experienced a day filled with nature, adventure, and well-being. The program started with a guided walk through the impressive canyon, known for its striking rock formations, green landscapes, and peaceful atmosphere. As we followed the trail, the group learned about the region’s unique biodiversity and the importance of protecting natural heritage.

The fresh mountain air and the sound of flowing water created a calming environment. Students were encouraged to observe their surroundings mindfully and take notes or sketches for a nature journal. We made several stops to explore small waterfalls, caves, and wild plants. The contrast between cold and hot water was a big surprise.

The most anticipated moment came when we reached the warm river pools. The water was inviting, and everyoneenjoyed swimming, floating, and splashing around. Some students chose quiet corners to simply relax, while othersorganized games, listening musis and races in the water.

After swimming, we gathered for a shared picnic under the trees. The atmosphere was joyful and relaxed. Music, laughter, and conversation filled the air. This was a great moment for intercultural exchange and team bonding.

Some students have decided to have a short yoga and breathing session was held by the riverbank to help everyonereconnect with themselves and reflect on the experience. Many students expressed how refreshing and inspiring the day had been. Some said it was their first time swimming in a natural river.

We ended the excursion with a group photo and shared impressions. 

The visit to Loutraki left a lasting impact on the students, combining physical activity, environmental education, and emotional well-being in a truly unforgettable way.
