Kahoot Quiz about the City of Rome:  Students participate in an interactive Kahoot quiz focused on the city of Rome—its history, monuments, food, legends, and modern life. They answer multiple-choice questions on their phones or tablets while the game displays real-time scores and rankings. Italian students help animate the quiz in English, giving short explanations about each answer. Students learn fun facts such as: Who founded Rome? What is the Colosseum’s original name? What do modern Romans eat for breakfast?

The quiz is fast, competitive, and entertaining, helping students get familiar with Rome before their visit.

Bingo: The Bingo activity encourages students to speak about their own experiences and opinions through questions linked to Rome, Italy, and everyday life (for example: “Have you ever visited Rome?”, “Do you believe in romantic love?”). By moving around the classroom, asking and answering these questions to complete their grid, they practise spoken English, learn to listen actively, build stronger group relationships.

Louvre Museum Escape Game: Students take part in a team-based escape game inspired by the Louvre Museum. Mixed groups receive a storyline: they must answer to questions to find the paintings before time runs out. Students move from room to room, is an activity where students visit different “rooms” and answer questions about France, each with three possible answers. To escape, they must choose and validate the correct answers, which helps them practise their knowledge of French culture in a fun and motivating way.

Throughout the game, students must communicate in English to share ideas, read instructions, and make decisions.

Students quickly learn names, laugh together, and break the initial tension. The activity encourages cooperation and group spirit, preparing students to work effectively together in the following days. Students experience art and culture in an active, motivating way. They improve their English skills while searching, analysing, and explaining clues.

They become more comfortable speaking English and interacting with new people, which creates a good group dynamic for the rest of the week.
