LT26 EC Project Work (Part 1) – Technology Solving Real-World Problems
10 févr. 2026Students work in international groups to identify a real-world problem linked to society, environment, or daily life. Using a problem-solving approach, each group develops a technology-based idea and proposes five possible solutions.
For the first time in high school, all day, the students are in pairs with their correspondents and must answer questions on technology in English. It can be a solution but also a problem and has an impact on their life.
The teacher returns to yesterday’s meeting to discuss this issue: videoconference, Fab lab, virtual reality activities.
The teacher presents the questions projected on a screen, allows some time for discussion within the pair, then gives the floor to each of the students to bring their ideas to the group.
The students give examples such as the Zoom connection problems of the day before, the use of artificial intelligence, the issue of clothes with the purchase of new clothes, the reuse, the question of art in a digital context or digital games with the question of skill development, that of interactions, that of resource consumption...
The teacher solicits students' participation a lot by organizing exchanges within the pair, distributing the speech, helping everyone to listen to the person speaking in front of the assembly, asking for help from another if the student is in difficulty.
Students brainstorm, debate, and select the most relevant ideas. This activity promotes creativity, cooperation, and entrepreneurial thinking while applying technology in a meaningful context.
